ABSTRACT
La auriculoterapia es la técnica por medio de la cual se diagnostican y tratan diversas enfermedades utilizando los puntos de reacción que se encuentran en las orejas. La ventaja de la auriculoterapia consiste en que se aprende fácil, es de amplio uso, su respuesta no se hace esperar, tiene un manejo amplio y pocas reacciones secundarias. Se realizó un estudio prospectivo y longitudinal sobre el control de la hipertensión arterial con fitoterapia y auriculoterapia, en el Consultorio Médico de Familia No. 72 del Policlínico Integral Carlos Manuel Ramírez Corría, San Luis, Santiago de Cuba, en el período comprendido entre julio y diciembre de 2002. De un universo de 45 pacientes hipertensos se extrajo una muestra de 30 pacientes; el dato primario se obtuvo a través de la planilla encuesta donde se recogieron diversas variables de interés como: edad, sexo, diagnóstico por sexo, evolución por los pacientes por sexo y evolución de los pacientes por grupo. Fue excluido en todos los casos cualquier tratamiento que no fueran la fitoterapia y la auriculoterapia. Evolutivamente se obtuvieron resultados satisfactorios, no se presentaron complicaciones en ningún paciente como consecuencia del tratamiento(AU)

Of an universe of 45 patient hipertensos a sample of 30 patients was extracted; the primary fact was obtained through the schedule it interviews where diverse variables of interest were picked up like: age, sex, diagnosis for sex, evolution for the patients for sex and the patients' evolution for group. It was excluded in all the cases any treatment that you/they were not the fitoterapia and the auriculoterapia. Evolutionarily satisfactory results were obtained, complications were not presented in any patient as consequence of the treatment(AU)
